Best Diwali Diyas to Buy Online 2026 — Amazon & Etsy Picks
The most beautiful Diwali diyas to buy online in 2026 — clay, terracotta, brass, and designer diyas with wicks and oil.
Diyas are non-negotiable for Diwali. But the difference between a Diwali that looks beautiful and one that just has lights is the kind of diyas you use. The painted terracotta sets you find at roadside stalls are nice — but if you want something that photographs well and actually elevates your home décor, buying online gives you access to a whole different category.
Here are the best decorative diyas available on Amazon right now, with delivery before Diwali (November 8).
Types of Diyas to Know
Not all diyas are the same. Here's a quick breakdown before you buy:
- Plain terracotta diyas — traditional, cheap, comes in bulk. Best for lining your balcony.
- Painted / decorated diyas — hand-painted with designs or glitter. These are what you'd put on your puja thali or centrepiece.
- Floating diyas — go in a bowl of water with rose petals. Looks stunning, especially for a Diwali party.
- Wax-filled diyas — burn longer than oil, no mess. Perfect for indoors where you don't want to deal with oil spills.
- Electric LED diyas — flame effect, no fire risk, great for homes with kids. Reusable year after year.
