Mars in Leo

Desire as self-expression, action as performance, and the vulnerability of wanting to be seen doing it

Nervous system pattern

The activation system is linked to the recognition system — desire feels most available to the body when there is an audience, real or imagined. Being overlooked or having effort go unrecognized produces a threat response that is more intense than the frustration of the goal itself being blocked.

Somatic signature

Expansion in the chest and posture during recognition and applause. A characteristic deflation — chest dropping, energy withdrawing — when effort is ignored. The physical capacity to sustain high performance levels in service of a goal that feels meaningful and visible.

Wound pattern

Early experiences where being seen was conditional, where visibility was a site of risk (humiliation, competition, comparison), or where ordinary effort was insufficient to secure the recognition the self needed.

Healing path

Developing the capacity to act without an audience — to experience desire and accomplishment as complete in themselves, independent of whether anyone is watching.
