Mars in Sagittarius

Desire as a search for meaning and freedom, action driven by enthusiasm, and the difficulty of following through when the fire cools

Nervous system pattern

Activation is most available when the action is connected to a larger purpose, belief, or adventure. The system starts with exceptional energy and idealism, and tends to lose activation as the project moves from vision into sustained execution. Constraint and detail work produce a specific frustration response.

Somatic signature

Expansion in the hips, chest, and breath when engaged with an inspiring direction. Physical restlessness and contraction when confined to repetitive or detail-oriented work. The body that thinks through movement — walking and physical activity are part of the cognitive process rather than separate from it.

Wound pattern

Early experiences of having the natural expansiveness and enthusiasm shut down — through environments that demanded conformity, precision, or smallness. The adaptation: pursue freedom through speed and forward movement, and resist any situation that threatens to contain the self.

Healing path

Developing the capacity for sustained execution through the diminishing-enthusiasm phase of any meaningful project. Learning that follow-through is not the enemy of freedom.
