Mercury in Aquarius

Original thinking, the mind that sees systems and futures, and the distance between brilliant ideas and human emotional reality

Nervous system pattern

The cognitive system is oriented toward pattern recognition at the systemic level — seeing structures, trends, and possibilities that others do not register. This produces genuine originality and an equally genuine distance from the particular human emotional reality in front of it, which can be more interesting to the mind than the singular person.

Somatic signature

Electric, associative quality in the thinking process — ideas arriving in leaps rather than sequential steps. The physical experience of breakthrough insight as a specific somatic event. Difficulty staying present in the particular when the mind is tracking the general.

Wound pattern

Early experiences of being different, not-understood, or explicitly weird — which produced the adaptation of developing a mind that works at a level of abstraction where difference is celebrated rather than penalized.

Healing path

Developing the capacity to bring the mind's systemic insight into contact with the singular emotional reality of individuals. Learning to be as interested in the person in front of you as in the system they represent.
