Nervous system pattern

The cognitive processing system operates in quick-fire mode — thoughts arrive fully formed at high speed and are expressed before the slower deliberative processes can review them. The system is highly responsive to novelty and stimulation, and can become genuinely dysregulated by sustained repetition or slow-paced exchange.

Somatic signature

Physical energy in the speech act itself — words delivered with body, heat, and forward momentum. Restlessness in the hands and posture during listening that the system experiences as passive. Frustration felt in the jaw and forehead when communication is too slow.

Wound pattern

Early environments where slow, deliberate communication was not rewarded — where being first and direct was valued over being thorough. Or conversely: environments where the self's rapid thinking was shamed as impulsive, creating a charged relationship with the speed of one's own mind.

Healing path

Developing the pause between thought and speech — not to suppress speed, but to bring deliberation into conversation with instinct. Learning to value the mind's rapidity as a resource rather than a liability.
