Mercury in Sagittarius
Big-picture thinking, the mind oriented toward meaning and principle, and the gap between vision and detail
Nervous system pattern
The cognitive system is most activated by large-scale pattern recognition, philosophical inquiry, and the search for underlying principles. Detail work, exception-handling, and precision produce a specific deactivation — the mind moves away from the particular and toward the general as a matter of natural drift.
Somatic signature
Expansion and excitement in the body when engaging with a large, meaningful idea. Physical restlessness during detailed, precision-focused cognitive work. The tendency to speak with certainty before the idea has been fully examined — the body's enthusiasm arriving before the mind's qualification.
Wound pattern
Early environments that did not value the big-picture orientation, that demanded precision and detail, or that treated philosophical and meaning-seeking thinking as impractical. Or environments where certainty was required prematurely — producing the habit of speaking with confidence before the thought is complete.
Healing path
Developing tolerance for detail and nuance — discovering that precision and breadth can coexist. Learning to hold large ideas with appropriate epistemic humility.
