Sun in Pisces

Identity as fluid and boundaryless, the self that dissolves into the larger whole, and the ongoing project of becoming a person

Nervous system pattern

The self-system is highly permeable — the boundaries between self and other, self and environment, self and the larger spiritual reality are genuinely fluid rather than maintained with effort. This produces extraordinary empathy, creative imagination, and a chronic underlying uncertainty about where the self begins and ends.

Somatic signature

Physical permeability to the emotional atmospheres of environments. The body that takes on the quality of whatever it is in contact with. Difficulty maintaining the felt sense of a distinct, bounded self in contexts of emotional merger or extended social contact.

Wound pattern

Early environments that required dissolution of the self into the emotional reality of others — caretaking a parent, being the family's emotional container, or the implicit message that having a distinct self was selfish or threatening to the relational system.

Healing path

The patient, ongoing work of becoming a person — developing a felt sense of distinct selfhood that does not require closing off the permeability that is also a genuine gift. Learning that having a self does not mean losing the connection to the larger whole.
