Sun in Sagittarius

Identity through meaning-making and the ongoing search for truth, the self that cannot be contained by a single answer

Nervous system pattern

The self-system is organized around the experience of expansion — philosophically, geographically, intellectually. Identity is most coherent when the self is in motion toward a horizon. Constraint — of any kind — produces a specific identity threat: the sense that the self is being made smaller than it is.

Somatic signature

Aliveness and expansion in the chest and hips during exploration and adventure. The physical quality of enthusiasm — a forward-moving warmth — when engaging a genuinely interesting question. Restlessness as a somatic state when the self feels contained or required to be smaller than it is.

Wound pattern

Early environments that demanded conformity, required the self to be defined and bounded, or treated the natural philosophical range of the self as instability or unreliability.

Healing path

Developing the capacity to commit — to people, to places, to specific perspectives — without experiencing commitment as the death of the searching self. Learning that depth is not the opposite of freedom.
