Identity through transformation and depth, the self defined by what it has survived and how it has changed
Nervous system pattern
The self-system is organized around cycles of intensity, destruction, and regeneration — identity is most coherent after having passed through something significant. The self that has not been tested does not fully know itself. Superficial environments produce a genuine identity restlessness.
Somatic signature
Stillness in the body that is not passivity — it is watchfulness. The physical experience of the self as concentrated and contained, revealing itself selectively. Intense somatic response to betrayal or perceived violation that has a long physiological duration.
Wound pattern
Early experiences of profound loss, betrayal, or violation that required the self to develop extraordinary psychological resources — and left the identity defined by its capacity to survive what would destroy others.
Healing path
Developing the capacity for identity that is not organized around survival — to discover who the self is in the absence of crisis, and to experience depth that does not require destruction to be real.
