Sun in Virgo

Identity through service, craft, and the ongoing refinement of self, and the difficulty of believing the self is enough as it is

Nervous system pattern

The self-system is organized around the experience of being useful, competent, and in ongoing improvement. Identity is most coherent when the self is in service to something that matters, doing it well, and able to identify what could still be better. Being perceived as careless, insufficient, or unnecessary produces a genuine identity threat.

Somatic signature

The body that is most comfortable doing — making, organizing, improving. Physical discomfort in states of pure receiving or rest that carry no productive function. The head-tension of ongoing self-analysis.

Wound pattern

Early environments where worth was conditional on usefulness, helpfulness, or correctness. The implicit learning: I exist insofar as I am of use, and the self without productivity has no secure ground.

Healing path

Developing the capacity to rest without needing to justify the rest through productivity. Learning that the self has worth independent of its usefulness to others.
