If you just realized your mother wound is real.
The mother wound is the first wound. It lives in the nervous system before language. Recognizing it does not mean blaming her. It means seeing clearly what was passed to you, what was asked of you, and what it cost. The recognition usually arrives with grief, because what becomes visible is not just what happened but what was missing. Both things are real. The grief of the wound and the grief of the mother who could not give what she did not have. You are allowed to hold both.
