The person who arrived at this page is not dramatically struggling. From the outside, they look fine. They are functioning, competent, the person other people come to. The exhaustion they are carrying is not the kind that sleep addresses. It is the accumulated cost of continuous vigilance — of being the person who holds it together when other people are coming apart — of presenting the managed exterior across so many different rooms with so little space to put it down and simply be.
