I found this work in February, the day after my mother and I had the worst fight we had ever had. I had been searching for language for what had happened between us for thirty years and could not find it. I read the Mother Wound entry at 2am and sat with it for an hour. Not because it fixed anything. Because it named something I had been carrying without a name. That is a specific kind of relief. Thank you.

I bought Healing the Father Wound for my therapist to read. She said she had not seen the dynamic named that specifically before. I am not sure I can describe what it is like to hand someone a book and say: this is what it was. But I did.
